MTA’s Varsity Hockey Senior Night was a powerful moment of gratitude, pride, and reflection, celebrating the seniors who have helped shape the hockey team over the past four years. Teammates, coaches, parents, and faculty gathered to recognize the commitment and heart these players brought to the team and to the yeshivah.
Rabbi Konigsberg opened the evening with heartfelt remarks, thanking the coaches Yitzy and Ezra Kopstick, players, athletic staff, and parents for their dedication and support. He spoke about the countless hours invested behind the scenes and the values learned through the team experience, emphasizing discipline, responsibility, respect, and teamwork as defining elements of MTA athletics.
Following the remarks, Rabbi Sonnenschein led the senior recognition ceremony. Each senior was called up individually and presented with a framed poster in his honor, a moment that allowed the community to pause and appreciate each player’s unique journey and contribution to the team. As each name was announced, the applause reflected not only the many wins and goals but years of effort, growth, and perseverance.
As these seniors prepare to take their next steps, they do so carrying the lessons and pride of representing MTA both on and off the court.
