Students across all grades at the Cheder Moshe Raya Me’hemna enjoyed two productive weeks filled with learning, celebration, and hands-on experiences.

In Pre-1A, boys advanced in k’riah by learning the n’kudah of sh’va. Their study of Parshas VaYigash focused on Yosef’s revelation to his brothers and the lesson that everything Hashem does is for the good. The class celebrated completing their marble jar with a Chanukah pizza m’sibah. Academically, students learned the letters J and K, were introduced to addition, and worked with numbers 11 and 12. They also enjoyed a violin project connected to Parshas VaYigash.

First graders practiced the digraph “ch,” reviewed capitalization rules, and continued strengthening their addition skills.

Second graders participated in Chanukah activities, including a menorah dreidel game and candle decorating. They visited the Living Torah Museum and focused on t’filah with kavanah, earning rewards for concentration. Language arts included “aw” words and compound words, while math lessons expanded to larger addition and subtraction.

Third graders began learning Yaakov’s brachos from Parshas VaY’chi using song, studied the perseverance of Yosef HaTzadik, worked on contractions, explored science topics, and began measurement in math.

The entire school gathered for a Chanukah chagigah featuring pizza and stories shared by the rebbeim.
