At MTA, learning does not stop when the bell rings. Through a wide range of clubs and hands-on experiences, talmidim are encouraged to explore passions, develop skills, and connect classroom ideas to the real world. Two recent club experiences highlight how MTA brings creativity, leadership, and real-life learning together.

The MTA Cooking Club recently took its skills beyond the classroom and into a professional setting with a visit to Lake Como Pizza. Students had the unique opportunity to learn the art of crafting authentic, restaurant-quality pizza from start to finish. Guided by Andy of Lake Como, the boys walked through every step of the process, from properly stretching dough and forming a perfect crust to mastering the timing of the bake.

This hands-on workshop gave students more than just a great meal. It offered a real appreciation for craftsmanship, patience, and attention to detail, while showing how passion and practice come together in a professional environment.

The Business Is Booming Club also brought real-world insight to campus this week, welcoming Sam Solomon, CEO of Sam’s Air Control HVAC. Sam shared his journey from starting out in the field to building a successful company, offering students an honest look at what it takes to grow a business from the ground up.

He spoke about the value of hard work, strong customer service, and the importance of adapting to real-life challenges. Students gained a practical perspective on entrepreneurship, leadership, and resilience, hearing firsthand what it means to build something meaningful over time.

These club experiences reflect what makes MTA special. By connecting students with professionals, real environments, and authentic challenges, MTA clubs help talmidim discover interests, build confidence, and prepare for life beyond high school.
