Yeshiva of Central Queens (YCQ) has kicked off another year of its longstanding Sunday Family Learning program, a beautiful and optional learning series for students in grades five through eight, their families, and alumni. The popular program provides a morning of Torah lishmah, beginning with Shacharis and followed by breakfast and an engaging shiur.

The series launched on Sunday, October 19, with special guest Rabbi Mordechai Becher, a world-renowned instructor at Yeshiva University. Rabbi Becher, known for his work on AsktheRabbi.org, spoke on the compelling topic, “Why So Many Mitzvos?” He is the first in an impressive lineup of distinguished guest speakers, including Rabbi Moshe Bamberger, Rabbi Dov Keilson, Rabbi Eliyahu Maksumov, and Rabbi Doniel Staum.

In addition to these special guests, the program proudly showcases YCQ’s own beloved rebbeim. The schedule features shiurim from faculty members including Rabbi Yehuda Kravetz; Junior High School Principal Rabbi Stephen Knapp; Rabbi Yosef Howitt; Rabbi Tzvi Greenberg; Rabbi Yaakov Finestone; Rabbi Mordechai Rovner; Rabbi Daniel Rosenfelt; and Rabbi Menashe Babekov.

YCQ extends a heartfelt thank-you to Rabbi Ephraim Bernstein and Mr. Jacob Grossman for their dedication to coordinating this special program.
