Emet Outreach hosted an exciting and unforgettable Shabbaton as 170 students and staff gathered in Jamaica Estates, marking the organization’s largest Shabbaton since its founding in 2004. What made the weekend especially meaningful was that it was organized by the Emet JBoard, a collaboration of dynamic student leaders from Queens College, St. John’s University, Adelphi University, and New York Institute of Technology.
The packed Shabbaton featured uplifting t’filah, gourmet meals, interactive programming, and meaningful discussions, bringing students together in an atmosphere of community, connection, and growth. “The JBoard is an incredible initiative of student leadership that has taken campus programming to the next level,” said Rabbi Akiva Rutenberg, Emet co-founder and director. “Emet is proud to partner with these students as we bring meaningful Jewish experiences to their campuses.”
