On Sunday, March 1, Jewish community leaders from Kew Gardens met with Captain Evan Galane, Executive Officer of the NYPD’s 102nd Precinct, to discuss neighborhood security and coordination ahead of the upcoming Pesach holiday.

The meeting was hosted at the home of community askan R’ Aaron Cyperstein and organized by Rabbi Daniel Pollack, who serves as Clergy Liaison to the 102nd Precinct. The gathering brought together rabbanim, community activists, and representatives of key volunteer organizations who work closely with law enforcement to support the neighborhood.

With Pesach approaching, participants discussed ways to maintain strong communication between the community and the precinct. The conversation focused on situational awareness, coordination with volunteer response organizations, and ensuring that residents feel safe and supported during the busy holiday period.

Captain Galane expressed appreciation for the close partnership between the 102nd Precinct and the Jewish community of Kew Gardens. Community leaders likewise emphasized that maintaining an open line of communication with local law enforcement is essential to preserving the safety and well-being of neighborhood residents.
