On Monday evening, September 15, at 8:00 pm, Rabbi Ari Schonfeld, Menahel of the Yeshiva Ketana of Manhattan, will deliver the third annual Young Israel of Kew Gardens Hills Pre-Rosh HaShanah Shiur.
The shiur is a program of the Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld Adult Education Center. The founding rav of YIKGH and renowned worldwide for his wisdom and erudition, Rabbi Fabian Schonfeld zt”l served the shul for over six decades and believed that adult education was an integral part of a shul’s mission. Inaugurated in 2021, the Center offers a robust program of shiurim, lectures, and scholar-in-residence Shabbasos.
Rabbi Ari Schonfeld – a master m’chaneich and gifted educator known for his transformative programs – will speak on the topic: “Am I Good Enough? The Eternal Quest For Connection.”
Rabbi Schonfeld grew up in Kew Gardens Hills. Before joining the Yeshiva Ketana of Manhattan, he served as an eighth-grade rebbi and mashgiach ruchani in Passaic. His success extends beyond the standard classroom, impacting talmidim through innovative extracurricular activities and inspiring summer camps.
Rabbi Schonfeld also earned international acclaim for his groundbreaking program “Night Seder America” – an interactive Zoom learning seder for middle school boys, launched at the start of Covid-19, which grew to inspire more than 5,000 boys across the globe.
