The Coalition for Jewish Values (CJV), representing over 2,500 traditional, Orthodox rabbis in American public policy, welcomed the release of The Further Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2024, noting with appreciation the multiple items therein supporting Israel, combating anti-Semitism, and combating anti-Israel bias in Palestinian and global bodies.
CJV President Rabbi Yoel Schonfeld issued the following statement:
“The Appropriations Bill funds Israel’s defensive needs as it fights to eliminate the genocidal terrorist threat at its doorstep, and, just as importantly, prohibits funding for the Hamas-supporting United Nations Relief and Works Agency, the UN “Commission of Inquiry” set up to demonize Israel, and other UN and international efforts to weaken the world’s only Jewish-majority country. We urge all Members of Congress to speedily pass this important funding bill with these key provisions.”
