Although last week’s weather has been beautiful and warmer than usual, fall has arrived, along with some warm and exciting makeup looks. Bold beauty is definitely back! Therefore, trying out some new trends is the best way to spice up your latest fall fashions. From the classic smoky eyes to vibrant shades, the following ten makeup trends for Fall 2022 are anything but boring.

Black is Back - Dark smoky charcoal eyes are back and one of the hottest trends of the season. The look can be created with black shadow, gently smudged to create a charcoal eye. It is definitely a very dramatic look and is not for the fainthearted or mature population.  When experimenting with such dark colors, less is actually more. If you want to try a milder version, of smoky eyes, opt for rich brown shadows and blend   well to create a smoky and wearable look.

Natural Blush - Although blush made a serious comeback this summer, fall is not about vibrant blush, but rather about creating that glow from within. Instead of piling on pink, choose bronzer to softly sculpt the cheek. Then place a hint of pink on the apple of the cheek and a bit of luminescence at the top of the cheekbone. Try some terracotta and peachy hues on the cheeks for a naturally beautiful, autumn look.

Bleached Brows - This is an awful trend that’s making its rounds this season. It probably works best for blondes, in any case, proceed with caution, as it can make you look washed out.

Dewy Skin - From Summer to Fall, it’s here to stay and easily achieved. This look works wonders for the face unless you have oily skin.

Vinyl Lips - If you’d like your lips to garner all the attention, turn the classic bold lip up a notch by trying out vinyl lips, so shiny, that they can reflect into outer space. Be sure to keep the rest of the face simple.

Natural Lips - If you’re not a fan of bold lips, natural lips are chic this fall as well. Simply choose a color a drop deeper than your natural lip tone. You can also opt for a dewy lip by merely adding a beautiful gloss to top it off.

Pop of Pink - As you transition from Summer to Fall, you don’t have to get rid of all your vibrant shades. Add a pop of pink on the eyes, which will pair well with darker shades that are close to the lash line. Complete the look with bold black liner and lots of mascara.

Pumpkin Pie - This is one of my favorite trends, and is simple, yet very effective for Fall. To achieve the look, just buff out the perfect shade of orange and blend well, creating a faded effect as you move upwards. Complete the look with strong black liner and a glossy nude lip. Lastly, you can top it off with a bit of gold shimmer in the inner corners of the eye.

Soft Wings - When you strongly and precisely wing eyeliner at the outer corners of the eye, it’s the eyeliner that usually takes the focus. However, this new look is a hybrid between eyeshadow and a full winged eyeliner. This trend is softer, yet striking, allowing your eye shadow to capture the attention. These wings can be achieved by smudging a pencil liner with a small, angled brush, as opposed to the precision you get from a liquid liner.

Baby Blue - From blue shadow to liner, the popular color of the 90’s is back with a vengeance. This icy tone can be found on the upper and lower lids and everywhere in between. It’s a great color that has drifted in and out throughout the decades because it has endless possibilities.
