This past Thursday, the rebbeim, moros, and teachers of Yeshiva Tiferes Moshe met for an informational and inspirational Professional Development Session.

The morning began with divrei chizuk from Rabbi Shmuel Marcus, Rav of the Young Israel of Queens Valley. He spoke about the central role that m’chanchim serve in the development of future doros of klal Yisrael.

Rabbi Pacht spoke about the rebbe/teacher-talmid relationship as the foundation for success. He also spoke of the importance of establishing and following systems and routines to enhance the educational experience and ensure the safety and well-being of each talmid.

Lastly, Rabbi Shmuel Yaakov Klein of Torah Umesorah returned to YTM to continue our ongoing discussion around Positive Classroom Management.

There was also time for Team Meetings where the rebbeim spoke about ways to improve and maintain foundational k’riah skills and the General Studies teachers worked on Curriculum Mapping. The Junior High rebbeim and Teachers visited the new building in anticipation of our move later this month!
