Sandwiched between Chanukah vacation and the Siyum HaShas, Rabbi Paysach Krohn spoke to the boys to kick off the brand new AHA! Program (Al HaMichyah Awareness). The goal of the program is to have the boys become more aware of the need to thank Hashem all the time, including after every meal and snack.

Rabbi Krohn mentioned that part of Moshe Rabbeinu’s greatness was that he “paid attention” when he saw the burning bush, and not that he just noticed it. We also need to “pay attention,” become more aware, be nosei b’ol im chaveiro, to help us achieve greatness.

Beautiful posters were hung in each classroom and in the dining room to be a constant reminder. Each boy also received a matching pocket-size Al HaMichyah card with the English translation on the back.

This program is being run for the z’chus for a r’fuah sh’leimah for Chaim Avraham ben Shifra Zisel, a second grade talmid, part of the Tiferes Moshe family, who is in need of a r’fuah sh’leimah.

The school is now saying Al HaMichyah together, as one, after lunches, and becoming more aware to say it after snacks. All are invited to join this effort to be nosei b’ol im chaveiro, and become better ovdei Hashem. May the z’chus of thanking Hashem with more kavanah bring a r’fuah sh’leimah to Chaim Avraham ben Shifra Zisel.
