The students of Ezra Academy are an exceptional group of people. Whether one looks to the current population or alumni or incoming freshmen, the special neshamot that attend school at Ezra are unique.

Three summers ago, Rabbi Tzachi Diamond, at the behest of his students, started a learning program that runs through the summer. The young men and women could not imagine a summer without learning Torah, engaging with their rebbeim and morot and/or seeing their school friends regularly. Figuring that the 10-15 students who requested a program may show up once a week for a few weeks, Rabbi Diamond started small.

Three years later, the program meets every week with a speaker for men and a speaker for women. There is dinner and Arvit, and attendance has reached over 50. This summer’s smashing success was due in part to our organizer, but we must also acknowledge our speakers, our sponsors, and our incredible students: current, past, and incoming. If this was any indication, our school year of 5782 is going to be a smashing success, as well!
