Dr. Sang H. Kim has been named chief of the Division of Gastroenterology in the Department of Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens. He assumes this role immediately after serving as interim chief for several months. He also holds an academic appointment as an assistant professor of clinical medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Dr. Kim is a graduate of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Albany Medical College. After his internal medicine training at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s, he trained at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens in gastroenterology and advanced endoscopy.

Since 2008, he has been the director of interventional endoscopy at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, and has had the privilege of training numerous residents and fellows. Through his advanced endoscopy skills, he has earned the respect of our community physicians and has built a robust referral practice. Dr. Kim assures future growth and excellence for the NewYork-Presbyterian Queens digestive disease service line for the Queens County community.
