MTA seniors recently explored the complex idea of patriotism through four different lenses. At four interactive stations, students examined presidential perspectives on patriotism, explored the relationship between patriotism and law, analyzed how patriotism is expressed through art, and considered what social science research reveals about patriotic beliefs and behaviors. The activity encouraged students to think critically about what patriotism means, how it has been expressed throughout American history, and how different perspectives shape our understanding of love of country.
